Jim and Lisa Millen began Great Lakes Reclaimed by crafting wooden wine racks and craft beer totes, and over the years it has grown into a thriving custom furniture workshop in Petoskey, Michigan.
We pride ourselves on creating beautiful, sustainable goods made with local reclaimed wood as much as possible. Whether it’s a dining table, custom bar, or barnwood doors, our work is always custom and made by hand.
Jim is a custom builder, finish carpenter, and cabinet maker. Lisa is an artist, specializing in interior design and furniture creation for over 25 years.
In our spare time, we can be found scouring antique shops, boat salvage yards, and estate sales. We love connecting with people over furniture, design, and our love for the place we live in!

How do I care for my furniture?
Proper care and maintenance can help your new furniture last for many years. Here are some tips for caring for your wooden table or bench:
Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster to remove any dirt or debris.
Avoid using harsh chemicals to clean your table, as these can damage the wood. Instead, use a mild soap and water solution or a specialized wood cleaner.
Wipe up spills immediately to prevent staining.
Use coasters, placemats, and tablecloths to protect your table from scratches and heat damage.
If you have any questions about caring for your furniture, don't hesitate to contact us. We're happy to provide advice and recommendations to help you keep your table looking its best.
